I decided to make 2 new sketchbooks for a workshop I am taking from the Kemshalls. This is a 9" X 12" sketchbook. I just LOVED this paper and the yummy orange thread I used to stitched it.
It is a beautiful book. The wax paper tweak! Is it affixed over the coloured paper. Inquiring minds who like the knock back on high contrast. Again, beautiful book!
The waxed paper is to keep the front and back from gluing together while they dry. I use waxed paper all the time to keep pieces from not getting stuck together. I save it and use it also when using a glue stick to keep the glue off my work surface.
Very nicely done Beth...a special journal for a special class! I have followed your blog for quite some time and I really enjoy you and your content! Just sayin'...thought you'd like to know.
By the way...once you had a giveaway that I won...one of your quilted and collaged zippered pencil cases you made from your hand dyes/printed fabrics. I stuffed it full of school supplies and donated it to our local food bank. Parents coming thru that next food bank day could enter their child's name in a drawing for it. So, you really paid that giveaway forward!
That actually is a wonderful story. I'm big on donations myself. The king size batik commercial fabric quilt I made about 4 months ago is a raffle for a dog rescue and I just got a ton of fabric for 2 more quilts to donate.
SO beautiful! I'm jealous of your sketchbook. Watercolor paper has such great texture, enough to make me wish that I painted.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing! This is a beautiful book... looking forward to seeing what you put in it from your class!
ReplyDeletePictures coming up soon. This is the largest format I have ever used.
