Just in case it escaped your notice, I am not really doing much surface design on fabric or sewing outside this quilt. I have just embarked on a 3 month long art study course that is taking A LOT of my time. I am sort of switching the emphasis of my work from fiber to painting and mixed media work.
Please bear with my over the next three months. I'm sure I will have some fiber work stuck in there because it is my first love but I am getting old and finding I MUST paint before it is too late. Hang on, stick with me and who knows, it might even be interesting to see where I go with this.
Enjoy your course, and stay healthy! Can't think of a better way to spend your time than enjoying creative learning!
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy. I am having a ball!!!!
DeleteBeth, eu vad ca esti OK si foarte activa.Ma bucur pentru tine. Noi suntem in Romania foarte speriati de coronavirus. Probabil persoanele care au peste 65 ani vor fi obligate sa stea izolate in acasa. Este o situatie care nu stim cum va evolua.
ReplyDeleteIt is the same her Carmina. If you stay inside and wash your hands, that is the best you can do. Stay safe and keep in touch with friends through email and phone. We need each other. Be well my friend.
DeleteEager to see how your practice develops! I'll be interested to see the varioius ways in which what you already know about mark-making and design can be used in drawing and painting too--and what new things appear. Enjoy!

DeleteLots of new marks and media in your life...I haven't been able to access the videos, will try on my other device...Staying in here too, unfortunately there is the Hannaford run that has to be made...I do walk outdoors, but mostly in the neighborhood where one can keep one's distance. Do you still walk miles with the dogs?
ReplyDeleteYes, I walk about 2.5 miles a day at 4-5am and a shorter walk at 4pm with just Jaic, the tiny white dog
