Love what you have done Beth, and I enjoy your work and receiving your emails. Concerning how you framed your surface design, did you at one time share a more detailed diy on how to frame your your ? If so, could you tell where to find on your blog or website? Thanks, Debbie Aristone
Hi Debbie, Just under the header is a list of tutorials. One is called 3-way framing here http://sewsewart.blogspot.com/p/framing-3-ways.html Please feel free to email with any questions. I no longer use spray adhesive for the felt.. If I put the felt down and the top on top and smooth with my hands, the layers stick together. Then I stretch and hold with pins.
Looks really good. Very simple but plenty in there with the stitching and the layers to keep finding something different ht
ReplyDeleteA beautiful piece of art, subtile and asking for a closer look.
ReplyDeleteIt came out great with those discrete stitches. I find very interesting idea of framing!
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you get this reply. I am working on more stamps, continuing in this direction.
DeleteThis is a great idea! Fits in well with my new philosophy (kiss) and decor!
ReplyDeleteI adore the piece. It's elegant in its simplicity....but not too simple that you'd walk by it without leaning in for a closer look. The name is great!
