I should have left it alone

The first shirt was gorgeous. Look at those fabulous colors.

But the second shirt, the one in my size................

I should have been happy. I should have left it alone but noooooooo!!
It was too green and not as purple as I wanted it. I have only myself to blame. Instead of mixing up "Grape", I mixed up fuchsia and intense blue. My hand should NEVER touch a bottle of fuchsia ever again.

I ruined it. Now I am trying to come up with way to get that color out without destroying the fabric.

  1. One suggestion: overdye with Golden Yellow... it warms the fucshia, and also the other colors. Should go well with your red hair!

  2. I just sent a comment - not sure where it went but I had suggested to over dye in blue . I think the shirt is beautiful.

    1. Blue is an option but I think I am going to try Thiox. I have to slog through the snow to my "summer" studio to get the hot plate so I can boil the thiox outside. Should be interesting.

  3. Being a fan of purple and fuchsia, I prefer the second version. I too think the 'over-dye' version is lovely!!

  4. I know how you feel! Don't destroy it the way I destroyed my Elephant, hahaha! Finding a solution, a part of art and life.
PS I am now responding to notes on my posts, and responded to yours on the Elephant post...New habit I think...
