Marcella was supposed to be coming over to play with me but she had two unexpected business meetings. Oh well. The sun is shining.............
I only used 3 silk screens but there wasn't enough dye left on them after I deconstucted to get under your fingernail.
The spots on this screen gave a great result
Below, the spots
The wax (and there is a LOT) is left overs from the Maine event.
Below are the spots after scraping on thickened dye. There is no other way to get such interesting spots.
The white spots below are drips of wax.
Love these! You always get such great mixtures with your screens! Can't wait to see how you use the fabric...
ReplyDeleteI have a tendency to NOT want to cut it up but who knows.
DeleteThese are great. I love doing deconstructed printing but then always have a problem "doing" something with the resulting fabric. How do you use yours? I can only do so many whole cloth quilts.
ReplyDeleteI have used them in fiber art pieces. I have done quite a few landscapes using the deconstructed screens as horizons like here http://sewsewart.blogspot.com/2017/06/lets-see-what-fits.html
DeleteAgain beautiful work Beth. So much is happening in it and the colors are gorgeous. Bet you had a lot of fun doing this!
ReplyDeleteYou bet I did and I hope to do the last 11 screens today. The sun finally came out.
DeleteWonderful! I'm fascinated by your works ...
