I've done a gauge and according to it I am making a smaller size. I made this sweater about 10 years ago and just never wore it. I go to a lot of meetings and like to have something to do while uses my down time more productively. I'll let you know how it progresses checking in with the yarn shop along the way.Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17095809082494749979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690571754847916988.post-82324116705459798722019-02-02T17:28:28.693-05:002019-02-02T17:28:28.693-05:00Hmm...when you cast on again, check the pattern fo...Hmm...when you cast on again, check the pattern for gauge and then check the info you have that came with the yarn (please tell me you kept it!) and see if the yarn's gauge (tension) is close to or the same as the yarn required by the pattern. Also make sure you've got a note of your own measurements and that pattern's sizes work for your size. You might just do a gauge swatch and see... and if it doesn't match the gauge in the pattern, you might need to redo math (number of stitches cast on etc) and/or change up the size of your needles or...if that's all too much, pick another pattern! (I work in a yarn shop 2 days a week and talk to customers about this all the time.) Good luck!<br />Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04472013513744969837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690571754847916988.post-44456752216927013862019-02-01T05:31:55.463-05:002019-02-01T05:31:55.463-05:00I think it would have just shrunk in length and it...I think it would have just shrunk in length and it was already too shortBethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17095809082494749979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690571754847916988.post-13485236755120780682019-01-31T19:42:06.389-05:002019-01-31T19:42:06.389-05:00Wow Beth you are way more patient than me,not that...Wow Beth you are way more patient than me,not that I can knit.
