I don't have your email address so this is my answer:
After about 3-4 hours just sitting there rotting, most of the snow is gone and I can see fabric peeking out. This is the time I put the fabric with the remaining snow cap in the microwave. I don't remember why I do this or where I learned it but I have no memory of doing snow dyes without this final microwave step. I put the microwave on high for 3-5 minutes depending on how much snow is left. If you want to be cautious, cover the dish with cling film and punch a dozen holes in the film with a sharp knife. The fabric will heat, maintain moisture but be able to vent.
I also have a new tutorial on snow dyeing just under my header.Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17095809082494749979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690571754847916988.post-38775680071804127052015-01-30T09:36:14.718-05:002015-01-30T09:36:14.718-05:00Could you explain more about putting the snow dye ...Could you explain more about putting the snow dye fabric in the microwave?Watercolour and Textile Artist, Eileen Gidmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11793682852157705595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690571754847916988.post-71688608672340106072015-01-30T07:48:37.425-05:002015-01-30T07:48:37.425-05:00Looks like a very enjoyable day!Looks like a very enjoyable day!Judy Sall Fiber Arthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05172226619205640720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690571754847916988.post-174484286793607312015-01-30T07:17:13.513-05:002015-01-30T07:17:13.513-05:00Very nice! you are very hardworking ...Very nice! you are very hardworking ...Carminahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01288358025010586483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1690571754847916988.post-62201445831748135722015-01-30T02:00:48.069-05:002015-01-30T02:00:48.069-05:00Dixy created beautiful fabrics!Dixy created beautiful fabrics!Joke Hardenbolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16249268847297276455noreply@blogger.com
